World Cup – Day Four and Five Odds

The World Cup has seen some great action in the early going. The first day saw Mexico and the hosts South Africa play to a 1-1 draw, and then Uruguay and France go scoreless for a draw. Day two started with Korea blanking Greece 2-0, Argentina shutting down Nigeria 1-0, and then the United States and England tying 1-1. Sunday’s action has seen Slovenia beat Algeria 1-0, while Serbia and Ghana, along with Germany and Australia set to play later in the day.

Day Four and Five are coming up on Monday and Tuesday – June 14th and 15th. The odds have been released and appear to be very exciting. Monday starts with Netherlands against Denmark at Soccer City Stadium. The middle match of the day features Japan against Cameroon, and the final match of the day will showcase Italy and Parguay.

The odds of the match ending in a draw are +300. The match between Japan and Cameroon appears to be a bit closer, with Cameroon having the better odds. They are listed at +105, while Japan sits at +250. The odds for a draw are currently at +225. Lastly, for day four – Italy is getting even money to beat Paraguay, while they are +290 underdogs. For a draw, the odds sit at +220.

Day Five will also see five matches. The first features New Zealand against Slovakia, Ivory Coast vs. Portugal and Brazil taking in North Korea. Slovakia is a huge favorite over New Zealand in match one. Slovakia is listed at -240, New Zealand +700, and Draw +300. Portugal is the favorite in match two. Portugal (+110), Ivory Coast (+240), Draw (+225). Finally, the last match on Monday between Brazil and North Korea features the largest odds seen in World Cup action. Brazil is (-1600) favorites, while North Korea is getting (+2000). This would be quite the upset that would make some bettors rich. A chance for a draw is listed at +1000.
