The youngest Main Event champion in WSOP history is doing something even more unprecedented than his aforementioned victory:
He’s SELLING the very piece of history that defined his win on eBay! ZOMG wat?!
Peter Eastgate, of PokerStars fame (of course), is listing his 2008 WSOP Main Event championship bracelet on the uber-mega auction site at a starting price of $16,000. It seems like yet another unusual move from the former champion, most notably because it comes off the heels of his announcement that he will be retiring from professional poker for good to pursue other personal endeavors.
Eastgate has told numerous media outlets that all proceeds from the sale of his this extravagant piece of hardware and WSOP history will be going to charity. The bracelet consists of 18k white gold and is lined with 291 diamonds, all of which were handmade by Corum, the official bracelet provider of the WSOP for the past several years.
