Odds For NFL Week 1

The first week of the NFL season will soon be beginning. For those individuals interested on placing some bets and hopefully making some money knowing who is playing and the odds for each week’s matchups is very important. Below, we will talk a bit about the week’s leading stories, take a look at the matchups for week one and then present the betting odds for those matchups.

One of the biggest NFL stories is whether or not Brett Favre will retire. Just as he has done in previous years he continues to place his team in limbo regarding whether or not he will return. Oddsmakers do not seem to be making a big deal either way. Right now there is a four point spread between them and the New Orleans Saints. According to the experts that spread will only get bigger if Tavaris Jackson is not playing.

NFL Betting is almost back!  The NFL opener will take place on Thursday night and will pit the Minnesota Vikings against the New Orleans Saints, the reigning Superbowl champions. The first Monday night game will feature 4 teams and 2 matchups. San Diego’s takes on Kansas City and Baltimore takes on the New York Jets. The jets game will interested considering that they have picked up a number of aging stars, such as Jason Taylor, formerly of the Miami Dolphins Santonio Holmes and LaDanian Tomilson.

The Dallas Cowboys game against the Washington Redskins, Division rivals. Particularly interesting will be how Donovan McNabb fares after being the franchise quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, another Dallas rival.
