Let’s get the party started from now until Mid-June. The postseason is here in the National Basketball Association. There are several great series’ lined up, and we cannot wait to see the action. We are going to give you a run down of the play-offs series, and their odds to win the series.
In the Eastern Conference, the top seeded Chicago Bulls will host the Indiana Pacers. Both of these teams played within the Central Division. Indiana did pick up one win over the Bulls on the season. Chicago is the top seed in all of the NBA playoffs. The Bulls are huge favorites, at -3000, while the Indiana Pacers are +2000. This one seems obvious – DA BULLS.
The second seeded Miami Heat will take on the Philadelphia 76ers. Miami may be the favorite to win the entire NBA finals, due to their pick-up of Chris Bosh and LeBron James. The 76ers had a better second half of the season, and seem to be playing well. Miami comes into this series favored -2200, while Philadelphia is +1400. Definitely Miami here!
The third seeded Boston Celtics will host the New York Knicks. This is going to be a fun series featuring an old Celtic team and an upstart Knicks team. Boston has struggled big time late in the season. They are still the favorite here, but not by much. Boston is listed at -400, and New York is +300. The best bet here is to take the New York Knicks.
The final game in the Eastern Conference is the Atlanta Hawks at the Orlando Magic. Two divisional does get together after battling all season long. The Hawks struggled big time late in the season. Look for that to continue, as we are going to take the Orlando Magic -600 over the Atlanta Hawks (+400).
In the Western Conference, the top seeded San Antonio Spurs may be without guard Manu Ginobili. Ginobili went down with an injury in the loss to Phoenix on Wednesday. San Antonio is listed -400, while the Grizzlies are +300. Smart money is on the Spurs, but we are going to give a honest opinion – the Grizzlies pull the upset!
The second seeded Los Angeles Lakers are looking for their third straight NBA title. The Lakers had a tough time finding ways to win down the stretch, but New Orleans has looked poor as of late. The Lakers are a huge favorite at -2200, while Chris Paul and the Hornets are +1400. The Lakers are the easy pick here.
One of the tightest odds of the first round is the Dallas Maverics vs. the Portland Trailblazers. Dallas is -220 while the Trailblazers are +180. Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks are too athletic for Portland, and the Trailblazers will have a tough time competing with them. Dallas wins this season.
Finally, the Oklahoma City (-220) vs. Denver Nuggets (+180). These two teams are both out of the Northwest Division. These two teams have played some great games this season, including two since the start of March. Look for Kevin Durant to carry his team to a series win. Bet the Thunder!
Good luck with all your National Basketball Association bets!
