2010 NBA Finals Game 6 Odds and Analysis

The Boston Celtics are now just one win away from their second NBA title in the past three years. After losing early in the last year’s postseason, the Celtics have been hungry for another title, especially after beating the Lakers in 2008. Boston picked up a 92-86 win over the Lakers in Game 5 Sunday night. The win was the last game to be played this season at the TD Garden Arena in Boston, and will hopefully be home to another championship banner after this week’s games.
As briefly mentioned above, the Celtics were led by 27 points from Paul Pierce and 18 a piece from Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett in the win. Los Angeles got a bunch of production from leading scorer Kobe Bryant, but it was not enough to over take the series lead. Bryant scored 38 points, on 13 for 27 shooting for the Lakers. Pau Gasol, with his 12 points was the only other Laker player to score in double figures.
Tuesday night, Game 6 will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Throughout the entire postseason the Lakers have lost just one game at home (Game 2 of earlier in this Finals series against Boston). During the regular season Los Angeles were very dominant at Staples, going 34-7 at home, while the Celtics won 26-15 when playing on the road.
Game 6 is a great night for the avid sports bettors. This series has been virtually impossible to handicap, and even tougher to bet on. Sportsbook.com has released their early odds for the sixth game of the finals. Los Angeles comes in as the home favorite. Currently, the Lakers are a -6.5 point favorite, while the moneyline odds are placed at Boston (+245) and Los Angeles (-290). The total points scored (over/under) that is currently listed for game six of the NBA finals has started at 187.5.
If the Lakers win Game 6, the final games of the series will be played on Thursday night, back at the Staples Center in Los Angeles – where LA will no doubt be HUGE favorites to win their 2nd championship in a row.
