College Basketball: Kansas Jayhawks vs. Texas A&M Aggies

Written by Thomas | Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

Inside the Big 12 Conference, the Kansas Jayhawks will host the Texas A+M Aggies. The Jayhawks are two wins away from winning the Big 12 conference outright. Texas A+M is currently in third place, trailing just Kansas and Texas. This is the first time this season these two teams have played, but they have the potential of getting together in the Big 12 Conference tournament next week.

Kansas has won three straight games since their road loss at Kansas State. Their other loss this season came at home to Rick Barnes and the Longhorns of Texas. Kansas ranks as the top assist team per game and the top shooting team in the nation. The Morris twins are leading the team in scoring and rebounding, combining for nearly 31 points per game and 16 rebounds per game. The Jayhawks appear to be heading towards a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament.

The Aggies of Texas A+M would love an upset to keep their claim at the #3 seed in the Big 12 tournament. The Aggies are coming off a tough loss at Baylor. That snapped a five game winning streak that proceeded a three game losing streak; to Nebraska, Texsas and Baylor. The Aggies are led in scoring by Khris Middleton and his 14.5 points per game. The Aggies as a team average just under 70 points per game.

We love the Kansas Jayhawks. While we feel they are going to win this game, and move just one game away from winning the Big 12 Conference, we think this game will be close. Kansas is -13, but we think this result will stay in single digits. Take the Texas A+M Aggies +13 in the Big 12 clash tonight!
