Carbon Poker has a great surprise for their players coming at the end of February. Their usual $50k guaranteed freeze out tournament will now become a $100k guaranteed 2R/A tournament – but it will only be this weekend. The poker room will also be holding a special promotion to celebrate the change and it is called “100 Seats to 100k.”

This is not just to commemorate the positive steps Carbon has taken to ensure it’s becoming a bigger player in the online poker market, but it’s also to celebrate its recent website redesign and poker client upgrade, which became live late Wednesday evening.

Merge Gaming is making the change and since Carbon Poker runs on this network they will be making the change. This Saturday the online poker room will be hosting a freeroll giving away 100 coupons worth $109 each which can be used to play in the $100k guaranteed tournament that will take place on Sunday.

Players need to have earned 500 VIP points from the 21^st of February to the 26^th so players still have a few days to earn the points. Players who meet the requirements will be able to register for the tournament.

The $100k tournament freeroll will take place at 15:00 Saturday February 26^th and the top one hundred players will earn a coupon for the $100k guaranteed. The $100K guaranteed 2R/A tournament will then take place on Sunday February 27th at 3:00 PM est (check local times). The entry fee is $109 cash, $109 coupon or 10,900 VIP points.
