Each month poker pros hope to make a profit. They hit the high stakes tables at the best online poker sites such as Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars in the hopes of turning a quick profit. Sometimes the pros do well and make a few hundred thousand if not a few million and sometimes the pros hit a downswing and lose hundreds of thousands or millions. The month of September has just started and one poker pro is already earned a few hundred thousand.

Patrik Antonius is the pretty boy of poker and he likes to hit the high stakes tables at Full Tilt. This month is just a few days in and Antonius has already earned himself just over $300k. The pro was down almost $1 million for the month of august so the profit was a nice change of pace for the pro.

Antonius hit the $2000/$4000 Limit hold’em tables and played online player Deprimiert 413 hands to earn the nice profit. Deprimiert may want to think long and hard before hitting the high stakes tables again. Before he lost the $306k to the pro he faced Phil Ivey one day earlier and lost $327K. For those of you without a calculator that is a grand total of $636k in losses in a two day period.

So it looks as though the month of September is going to be an interesting one at the high stakes tables. It will be interesting to see if Antonius is able to hang on to his profits and continue to gain more or if he will see a downswing like the previous month and lose all that he has gained.
