PlayersOnly Poker is an up and coming poker room that was established in 2006. Some of the player base at PlayersOnly Poker contains curious people who use the sportsbook and casino that PlayersOnly offers. Because of this, the competition tends to be soft in the lower/middle stakes levels.

Other players within the Merge Network contribute to the player base and the tournaments are regularly filled. PlayersOnly moved to the Merge Network recently from their original home – the Cake Network. PlayersOnly continues to offer a poker room that accepts players from the US as well as US credit cards.

The PlayersOnly software was designed by poker players for poker players. The features and functionality of the application provides players with everything they need. Players are able to easily multi-table, and there is a decent selection of games to choose from.

The tournaments are heavily focused on Texas Holdem and Omaha at PlayersOnly Poker but there are tournaments for Seven Card Stud from time to time. The traffic at PlayersOnly Poker is consistent and the site remains a solid, medium-sized poker room. The lower limit ring games and sit n go’s fill up rather quickly.

PlayersOnly Poker Deposit Bonus

New players at PlayersOnly Poker are entitled to a 100% match bonus for their first deposit. $1,000 is the most that can be earned through this bonus opportunity. New players also receive a free ticket to play in a $500 Welcome Freeroll. Players earn their bonus in installments based on their play at PlayersOnly Poker.

For every $1 that is collected while the player is being dealt cards in a ring game, they earn 1 frequent player point (FPP). When players enter into tournaments, there are fees collected upfront rather than rake. For every $1 in tournament fees collected, players earn 7 FPPs. Each FPP that is earned is equivalent to 6 cents. For every 16.66 FPPs earned, $1 of bonus money is released. Once a player earns enough FPPs to equate to $10, an installment of $10 will be released from the bonus account into the player’s real money account.

Tournaments

PlayersOnly Poker has plenty of tournaments to choose from. Bounty (sniper), heads-up, sit n go and multi-table tournaments are available in a variety of formats. Players can select from re-buy, freeze-out or shootout style tournaments. Every Sunday, players have the opportunity to play in the $50K guaranteed tournament. Monthly, PlayersOnly Poker offers a $100K guaranteed tournament.

Tournaments are running daily at PlayersOnly with new tourneys starting every hour. In addition to the weekly and monthly guaranteed, there are daily guaranteed and regular buy-in tournaments regularly taking place. PlayersOnly Poker provides players with satellite tournaments that offer an opportunity to win entries into live events. Satellite tournaments are also an opportunity to win an entry into tournaments such as the $50K and the $100K. Freeroll tournaments are another option where players can risk absolutely nothing and possibly walk away with some cash.

Cash Games

Cash games are available for a wide variety of Texas Holdem formats. In addition, players can enjoy ring games in Omaha, 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud and Omaha Hi-Lo. Cash games are offered for as little as $.02 big blinds all the way to several hundred a hand. Cash games are normally offered as full-ring, 6-max (shorthanded) or heads-up.

The action is pretty solid in the lower stake levels and the competition tends to be fairly weak. The majority of players in this level of poker at PlayersOnly are new (rookie) poker players. Many of these players come from the PlayersOnly casino or sportsbook and have a very limited knowledge of poker. It is not uncommon to see quite a few players at the table going to the flop 50 to 60% of the time. The game at this level is very loose.

PlayersOnly Software

The PlayersOnly Poker software is called Play Aces. It is available for download at www.playersonly.com/poker. Unfortunately, the software is only available for Windows users. Mac and Linux users are able to download and install the software via a Windows emulator. The software has a few unique features and table options.

Emoticons and animations can be used by typing certain words into the chat feature. Some of these words are fish, dance, shark and whosyourdaddy. There are multiple windows features, player accolades (trophies and ribbons around your name), a time bank and many more. Some of the table options include bad beat jackpot tables, deal it twice, expose a card, rabbit hunting and quick start.
